About Me

I am David Stone, husband to a wonderful bride, Jenny, and dad to great boys, Taylor and Tucker. I am the campus pastor of Forest Park Carthage* in Carthage, MO.  Forest Park Carthage is a multisite campus of Forest Park Baptist Church in Joplin, MO.

Jenny and I were both born and raised here in the Ozarks. I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Missouri State University (Go Bears!) and a Master of Divinity from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, TX.

Before joining the Forest Park team, I was the founding pastor of The Church at Finley Crossings in Nixa, MO.  I also served as Minister of Music and Youth at four other churches in Texas, Oklahoma, and Missouri (couldn’t keep a job, it seems like!).

In my spare time (whatever that is), I enjoy hanging out with Jenny, reading, listening to music of all kinds, Apple computers, sports of all kinds, coaching Taylor’s sports teams, picking up after Tucker, chasing after our four dogs, and stealing away to fly-fish for trout.
